This app pushes you to work smarter and tracks your patterns. Depending on your performance, you can climb or fall in the rankings.

It also lets you know how long you’ve worked and just how productive you’ve been on certain days.

Simply put, the app works as a time sheet, recording your productivity throughout the day.

There’s no way to hit pause and if you need to get a project done with no interruption, this is the app to get you there.

The app is quite a taskmaster and does not recognize weekends or holidays. It’s here to only enforce discipline.


2. Evernote

Evernote does everything, from taking notes to organizing receipts. The app uses an easy filing system, letting you create checklists and to-do lists.

You can sync the information across devices, so you’ll get alerts on your laptop even if your phone chokes.

It tracks the time you’ve spent in each app, as well as on voice calls and browsing.

Although it sounds like the app is out to mother you, its primary focus is to give you back control over your time.

The app gives you an auto-generated list of your top distractions, so you know exactly where the problem lies.

4. Fabulous: Motivate Me! Relax, Meditate, Sleep

The app tackles the issue of efficiency at root by focusing on your health.

It’s step-by-step programs keep you active, check on your diet and give inputs on your sleep cycle, all factors directly impact productivity.

This app was created by the Duke University Behavioral Economics Lab, so the advice it dishes out is the real deal.
